The left side of the hull required the repositioning of the tow bar and swivel link attached to a triangular mounting plate. The circular tow cable mounting points and other tow cable hardware were taken from the kit and attached to the side, as were two U-shaped supports I had from a spare Trumpeter Challenger kit. ) were also added. The RAO decided to go with the single-pin track used on the Challenger 1. This was great, as it gave me an excuse to try out the new Friul tracks. It also meant adapting a Challenger 1 drive sprocket mount to the Cr 2 hull, which was pretty straightforward, just keeping in mind that the parts would be bearing some weight and had to be on straight.
